Well, I was happily surprised when this morning, upon turning on my TV and looking at my play list, I saw 'Trauma' listed. I thought I would never see them again.. well at least not to "burn off" season. Does this mean that it wasn't yet officially cancelled? Because, it's certainly not the time of year where they burn things off, if you know what I mean.
So, what has been going on with our favorite TV shows since the return ... Read More

Oh, how I have missed blogging more regularly about TV. Every time I watch a show I think, GOD. I just have to blog about it!.
I have to say , I'm happy for the return of 24 and Keifer Sutherland. But, as I watched, I kept thinking ' poor Jack Bauer. The man just can't seem to get away from the mayhem that is CTU'. As my brother put on his FB status, same formula ; arrogant CTU head that ... Read More

I have been absent from my blog for awhile. Life has been busy, things have been brewing, and in the weeks building up to Xmas there haven't been many surprises in TV Land in regards to ratings. We have entered the "rerun" time of year, with acception to any XMas programming put on.
My last blog spoke about how 'Raising the Bar' on TNT was cancelled, but that there were three more episodes that were going to air. Imagine my surprise when ... Read More

Week two of 'V' has seen a 29% decrease in viewers 18-49 with 10.56M viewers and a 3.7/10 rating. It came in #2 after NCIS. It's still on the map, that's the good thing. We'll have to wait and see where it lands in week 3 to see if it has found it's level of interest. According to tvbythenumbers.com it is the biggest % drop in a second airing episode for a new show this season. It's ... Read More

So, it seems that since moving to the Friday night 'death slot' on ABC, 'Ugly Betty' hasn't been performing well and will be moved to Wednesday nights again. I guess it's a compromise. It's ratings decreased , which is why it lost it's primo Thursday time slot, but putting it on Friday was like sentencing it to doom. Here's hoping Wednesday night improves it's ratings.
Surprisingly, 'The Forgotten' has been picked up for 5 more shows. ... Read More

Ah just when I felt settled into feeling "safe" with the ratings of my favorite shows some of them start to slip in the ratings a bit. A little more on that in a minute.
First, as I was reading some headlines, I realized that 'Fringe' did not record on any of my DVR's last night. GRRR. Is there a conflict somewhere I didn't know about, or was the hubby messing with the DVR and set it to one of his ... Read More

I realized as I was typing information about this weeks tally, I never spoke about Thursday night TV.
Let's talk about 'Grey's' shall we. If you haven't watched it yet..divert your eyes. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD. So, what is the deal with the firing of Izzy?! And what is next for the character who up and left Alex? By the way, someone should have clarified to her that Alex only talked to the chief so that he ... Read More

I have been talking about it for a week now, but I am finally around to doing my DVR results blog. This information is from the results of DVR viewing the week of September 21 - 27th.
Back in June a put together this blog about DVR viewing and how it affects TV and particularly advertisers. of which without we wouldn't have TV. 'Dollhouse' is a perfect example of a show that would otherwise have been canceled had it not been ... Read More

So far this season we have seen one show canceled (CW's 'The Beautiful Life' after two episodes) and our first show , 'Glee', was picked up after only the second week. In the third week we are adding CBS shows 'NCIS: Los Angeles' and 'The Good Wife' to the list of picked up shows. Both shows have performed strongly in the ratings with 'NCIS: LA' the most watched new show of the season.
I did miss a blog yesterday. ... Read More
