Ah, the holidays hit me with the lazy bug big time. I must have spent the last two weeks just watching lots of TV every day. Yesterday, for the first time in a long long time, my DVR Saved programs list was completely empty. Not one program left to watch.
I spent the two weeks watching the full season 1 of ‘True Blood’. Now I just need to watch all of Season 2. Perhaps I’ll have to wait till next holiday season to have a TV watching marathon? Let’s hope not.
I also managed to catch up on ‘Big Love’ on HBO and am ready for Season 3.
So, let’s talk about TV last night which included Heroes, The Bachelor and Conveyor Belt of Love (the name along brings a chuckle). The Bachelor landed on PIfeedback.com’s winner list last night with a total of 9.54M viewers and a 3.3/8 among 18-49 year olds. Yes, I watched it. Even more surprising, however, was that my husband was watching it too. We had fun making comments about the show. I have to ask, though, do the producers encourage or coax people into being that cheezy? I mean some of the lines that these woman were coming up with were outright.. well just plain cheese! Ah.. but it’s fun. But, the silly (and yes completely hot) bachelor didn’t give a rose to two of the ladies I thought would be good for him. ——SPOILER ALERT———- I’m referring to the Captain in the DC National Guard and the Blonde Commercial Airline Pilot. He did keep the one that seemed somewhat emotionally unstable (I mean get a grip, you are breaking down now on day one, geez woman!). Ed and Jillian even advised that she needs to go.
The cheese continued with ‘Conveyor Belt of Love’. To tell you the truth, when I saw it on the schedule I had no idea what the heck it was. I don’t remember seeing any promo about the shows at all. I did forget to record it, but I was finished watching Bachelor on my DVR and it switched to live TV in the middle of the program. And, my husband and I couldn’t help but watch. It’s TV that is so bad, it’s good. More cheese! Good thing I’m not lactorse intolerant! I’m not surprised, however, that it landed on the ‘loser’ list for last night with an average 6.53M viewers, a significant drop off from ‘The Bachelor’. It’s not going to last and what did they expect with such little promotion.
The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (football.. who cares) was #1 of course. Blah.. I don’t like football.
Heroes had only 4.93M viewers. Ouch. It’s been dubbed by pifeedback.com as a “likely to be cancelled”. Ah.. I liked it in the beginning, but it is getting a little tired.
I’m looking forward to a new ‘Biggest Loser’ and the return of ‘The Good Wife’ tonigh.
